Originally from Los Angeles,
California, Scott moved to Alaska in 1980, where his adventure really began.
Goodkin studied Civil Engineering and Education at the University of Alaska-
Fairbanks, earning his B.Ed in Secondary Math and Science. His classroom
teaching experiences include a position at an Athabaskan Indian village school,
in arctic Alaska, and a private preparatory school in West Hollywood,
California. In the corporate world, he has served as the head of corporate
training for Alpine Engineered Products, an international company, and the Eastern Region Training Manager
for the Sears Hardware Store chain in the USA.
Scott is a recognised expert
in the area of Effective Listening training. His client list includes major
corporations, national/regional associations, and Fortune 500 to small
companies. He is a published author on the topic and has appeared on a variety
of morning television programs to discuss this essential personal and business
skill.
In 2008, Scott decided to
make Australia his home and today is carrying on his work in this all too important
human skill. Scott is well known for his attention to detail and taking care of
his clients, not to mention his eagerness to tailor his programs to fit
