"The Adventure Begins

Scott studied Civil Engineering and Education at the University of Alaska- Fairbanks, earning his B.Ed in Secondary Math and Science. Language differences experienced during an early teaching assignment in an Athabaskan Indian village school in arctic Alaska made him acutely aware of the necessity for effective listening.

Upon his return to California in 1991, Scott apprenticed under a well-known memory expert. He delivered memory technique demonstrations, and soon was on his way to becoming a memory expert himself.

Scott Heads Up 2 Training Departments

As International Training Director for Alpine Engineered Products, the second largest wood truss connector plate manufacturer in the world, he designed and conducted staff workshops and customer training programs company wide. Then as Eastern Region Manager of Training for the Sears Hardware Stores Chain, he managed sales, customer service and HR-related training activities for tens of thousands of employees in seventeen states.

In 1996, ready to start his own training company, Scott created the advanced memory techniques known today as MemoryMax^© Workshops.

PTI Is Launched

With the instant popularity of MemoryMax^© Workshops, PTI rapidly evolved from a regional operation to providing programs for national organisations, government agencies, and companies of all sizes including Fortune 500s.

In 2000, PTI's client SP Richards Company (second largest office products wholesaler in the USA,) requested a custom Effective Listening Skills program for their annual customer appreciation Advantage Business Conference.

Profit With Effective Listening Is Born

Productive Thinkware developed four sessions for the ABC event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Profit With Effective Listening is an engaging, highly interactive program filled with easy-to-implement practical skills.

It was such a big hit, their customers demanded his return at the next conference. Due to the overwhelming response, SP Richards invited Scott back year after year.

Profit With Effective Listening Gets Advanced

In addition, SP Richards asked Scott to develop an advanced program for those attendees who took the workshop in previous years.

In the years that followed, Profit With Effective Listening became the most requested program that Productive Thinkware offered. So, Scott focused on the topic.

Scott Is A Recognised Expert On Effective Listening

He has published several articles on it and he has been a guest on both radio and television programs enlightening viewers on this most interesting subject.
